WCA RFID SIG presents A Novel and Complete Approach to RFID Antenna Inlay Production
Venue: RFIDium, Sunnyvale, CA

A successful RFID project moves through several stages: from specification, to design, to prototyping, to trial, to high volume rollout. However, many RFID technologies are not designed to address these stages.

Anh Hoang discusses an RFID design and production process that enables the generation of multiple variations of a design for quick verification and validation tests, a specialized laser-based system for precision prototyping, and a thin film deposition system for high-volume production.

Real-life case studies of how this approach has been successfully applied in the RFID antenna/inlay marketplace are discussed, including how it aided in design and production of inlays utilizing the new Impinj Monza 3.

Mr. Hoang will also discuss these technologies’ potential applicability to other high-detail patterning needs in printed electronics.

Cost: $10 at the door.

About the Speaker:

Anh Hoang is the Vice President and General Manager of Rfidium, a leading provider of complete RFID antenna inlay services; including: RFID design, prototyping, low volume and high volume RFID antenna production.

Rfidium is the combined RFID operations of: WaveZero, the experts in high-volume RFID antenna manufacturing; and Mu-Gahat, the RFID antenna design and low-volume production specialists.

Anh Hoang Hoang has over 20 years of senior management experience in medical device, scientific instrumentation, and semiconductor equipment.

Recently, he was the CTO of Lumasense Technologies and Vice President of R&D and Engineering with Luxtron Corporation. Prior to that he served at Xintec Corporation, a medical laser company, in a number of senior management roles including Vice President of R&D, Engineering and Business Development.

Mr. Hoang holds an MBA from St. Mary's College, an MS in Scientific Instrumentation from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and a BS in Physics from the University of Saigon.
