WCA July 1997 Meeting
The July meeting of the Wireless Communications Alliance (WCA) was held Tuesday, 7/15, at 4:00 PM at Hewlett-Packard in Santa Clara.
The WCA, a nonprofit corporation, is dedicated to the mutual benefit of area companies and organizations involved in wireless communications technologies.
The program was: "A Panel Discussion on Advanced Semiconductor Technology for Wireless Communications".
The format for the discussion included:
1) Brief presentations by representatives of semiconductor companies,
2) A user's perspective, and
3) A panel discussion led by Roy Richards on the state of the art of semiconductor technology for wireless applications.
The panelists included:
- James Cochrane, Siemens Components
- Craig Conkling, Philips Semiconductors
- Dr. Steven Goldberg, Cylink Corp. [user viewpoint]
- Steve Kenney, Pacific Monolithics
- Benny Madsen, National Semiconductor
- Cliff Vaughan, Oki Semiconductor
